The Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) Credential is granted exclusively to those who demonstrate considerable expertise in information management and technology assurance through their knowledge, skills and experience. CITP Credential holders exhibit unique abilities in providing risk assessment, fraud, internal control, audit and/or information management services within their firm or for their employers. Exam Information

The exam comprises of 40 Multiple Choice Questions out of which the candidate needs to score 70% (28 out of 40 correct) to pass the exam.

Open Book Exam

  • The Exam can be taken anywhere and anytime, you only need an Internet Connectivity and a Browser.
  • An "open book exam" is a test that allows you to bring the text or material you have been studying.

The total duration of the exam is 1 hour (60 Minutes).


  • If a Candidate does not pass the exam in the second (2nd) attempt, the candidate must wait for a period of at least fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of their attempt to retake the exam for third (3rd) time or any subsequent time.
  • The exam can be taken any number of times.

The Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP)™ Certificate is valid for life.

CITP™ is a Trademark of GAQM.


While there are no specific prerequisites for the CITP™ exam, participants who have at least two years of actual working experience in an IT Infrastructure and/or operations department with knowledge of systems, network and/or application management are best suited.
